Job Summary
We are seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) with a passion to educate, promote, and treat oral care. Our office serves a diverse patient population in northeast Columbus, and offers a comfortable, family-oriented work environment where patients are not treated like numbers, and the staff is valued like family. Responsibilities
  • Welcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortable
  • Discuss the dental care plan with patients and answer any questions they have
  • Perform preliminary exams and collect oral health histories
  • Evaluate patients for signs of gum disease, cavities, and infection
  • Perform dental hygiene services including plaque removal dental prophylaxis, fluoride, sealants, scaling and root planning
  • Teach good oral hygiene techniques
  • Take x-rays
  • Maintain patient confidentiality
  • Assist dentist during procedures and exams as needed
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies
  • Provide all care in conjunction with accepted professional dental practices and standards
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of dental hygiene
  • Current Dental Hygienist licensure
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in dental hygiene
  • Current CPR certification (re-certification provided)
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and all dentistry safety guidelines
  • Ability to comply with safety procedures, rules, and regulations in order to maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
