Job Description
Civil Engineering Summer Intern
Position Start Date: Summer 2024
Key Responsibilities:
· Work under the direction of senior staff.
· Prepare drawings and specifications using MicroStation and/or Open Roads for designing alignments, drainage systems, grading, and producing technical deliverables for highway and transportation engineering projects.
· Support the estimating team by assisting in preparing discipline estimates and calculating material quantity requirements from engineering drawing dimensions.
· Perform additional assignments as directed by staff.
· Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safety.
Required Experience:
· Currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a similar field. A Master's in Civil Engineering is a plus.
· Experience with software packages such as MicroStation, Open Roads, Office Suite, and Power Suite is a plus.
