POSITION OVERVIEW:

This position will ensure the protection of company assets and the safety of our guests, and team members. The Security Dispatch Officer will engage with our guests, team members and vendors in a friendly, helpful and positive manner.

This position ensures the confidentiality, security and accuracy of guest’s records, and promotes positive guest and team member relations. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required and outstanding guest service to fellow team members, guests, vendors, etc. is expected. Regular attendance is required, and on occasion, later hours or weekend time may be required with project deadlines and a neat well-groomed professional appearance is essential at all times.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The essential functions of the Security Dispatch Officer include but not limited to:

  • Observe, respond and report incidents, safety concerns, procedure violations or criminal activity. Operate CCTV equipment effectively is essential to this position.
  • Dispatch security officers to calls and track officer activity in a computerized software program.
  • Maintain key watchers and team member’s bio-metrics prints.
  • Issue vehicle keys and gas credit cards, ensuring key accountability and audits.
  • Oversee security equipment inventory items.
  • Manage digital dispatch log and input log entries.
  • Respond to medical incidents providing necessary patient care.
  • Safeguards company property and assets.
  • Perform escorts, cash exchanges, emergency slot machine drops, and table fills.
  • Create a safe and friendly environment for guests and team members.
  • Patrol the property parking lots.
  • Shuttle guests in a safe and friendly manner.
  • Check Identifications for age verification and maintain daily visitor count.
  • Report writing.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

A High School Diploma or GED is required for this position.

SKILL, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Excellent communication and guest, team member and vendor relation skills are essential. Able to learn and follow detailed Security policies and procedures. Possess exceptional report writing skills, plus Defensive Tactics Training with advanced handcuffing certification, preferred. Prior experience in a security position or casino environment is preferred. Participate and qualify in various training programs such as First Aid/CPR/AED, defensive tactics, handcuffing, training on how to resolve and handle conflict, etc. New hires must obtain and maintain a valid First Aid/CPR/AED (American Red Cross or American Heart Association) certification within 60 days of hire.

Must be a minimum of 21 years old and have the ability to obtain and retain a Washington State Class III Gaming License and a Washington State Liquor License; successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen; and have and maintain a driving record that at least meets the minimum requirements established by Lucky Eagle Casino & Hotel vehicle insurance provider.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit, use hands, handle; feel, or grip objects, stretch and/or reach with hands and arms; stoop; crouch or work in cramped or awkward positions; repetitive motions. Must be able to continuously climb and descend stairs safely. This person may regularly lift and/or move up to 75+ pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust to focus.

ENVIRONMENT:

The environment characteristics describe here are representative of those a team member may encounter while performing the essential functions of the position.

Primarily indoors and may be exposed to heavy cigarette smoke and fluctuations in temperature while in and around the Casino and/or Hotel. May also, from time-to-time be exposed to noise from slot machines, customers, music and public announcement system, as is common in a Casino and/or Hotel environment. Will occasionally be exposed to outdoor elements.
