TURN Community Services is currently hiring for a full-time Group Home - Residential Program Assistant in the Cedar City area. This nonprofit human services position earns a competitive wage of $19/hour plus a sign-on bonus of $600.

DAY-TO-DAY

The schedule for this position will vary depending on the needs of the program and may include day, swing, overnight, and weekend hours. The Assistant typically works mornings, afternoons, and evenings. This position is approximately 30 hours of direct care and 10 hours of administrative responsibilities. The nature of the role may occasionally require on-call availability to address urgent program needs or emergencies outside regular working hours.

As a Group Home - Residential Program Assistant with our nonprofit, you play an essential role in helping our program coordinator keep our human services residential program running smoothly. You provide additional oversight to the staffing and training of our group home as well as ensure that residents receive the individual support that they need. In addition, you help coordinate and lead the programs that we offer. Following along with our person-centered and behavior support plans, you monitor, supervise, and participate in their development and implementation, which means our residents are always receiving the top-quality care they need. You enjoy having a human services job where you get to make such a positive impact on our residents with developmental disabilities and their families!

This Assistant position is over the Cedar Willows residential program in Cedar City that serves up to 6 clients and oversees up to 10 staff. The clients served in this program love to have fun, be active and explore their community. The Assistant will work with the Program Coordinator to ensure clients have the opportunity to participate in numerous activities, including sports.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 6+ months of experience working with individuals with Developmental/intellectual disabilities
  • Ability to complete required training within 3 months of employment
  • Ability to produce and review typed business letters, reports, and accurate numerical records
  • Personal and reliable transportation
  • Valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and proof of insurance
  • Driving program vehicles as well as being willing to train new employees to drive large vehicles.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Leadership skills
