We are looking for experienced Licensed Practical Nurses/Registered Nurse to support our nursing team. Our ideal candidate has a positive attitude and works well under pressure.


Responsibilities

LPN’s/RNS should be hard-working, have integrity, compassion and who steadily develop their skills as a nurse. Being efficient, dedicated, a good listener and a problem-solver is what will open our door for you.

Our RNs/LPN’s are responsible for providing direct nursing care as ordered by physician, outlined in the plan of care, and in accordance with standards of nursing practices and regulations. Takes charge in leading and directing resident/patient care on assigned unit. Directly supervises Certified Nursing Assistants to ensure assignments and care are complete based on professional standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties as assigned.??

· Personally participates in the evaluation and delivery of care including medication administration, treatments, Adl care, etc. as ordered by physician and outlined in the plan of care (according to scope of practice)

· Conduct regular rounds to monitor resident activity and ensure resident/ patients receive quality care based on professional standards and facility policies

· Evaluate residents physical and psychosocial status

· Communicate with residents, family members, physicians and supervisor regarding resident status.??

· Maintain up to date and accurate medical records during tour of duty on assigned unit.??

· Coordinate and prepare for new admissions, transfers, discharge of residents

· Transcribe physician orders

· Assist in updating the plan of care that addresses the needs of the residents/ patients

· Complete incident/ accident reports · Understands, complies with and promotes all rules regarding resident rights

· Maintain safe and clean work area

· Ensures proper storage of equipment and supplies

· Ensure Infection prevention and control practices are followed on assigned unit

· Report hazardous conditions, incidents and accidents, and allegations to supervisor

· Attend orientation and in-services

· Assist in orientation and training

· Attend staff meetings

· Perform other duties as assigned or designate


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead, monitor, and assume charge of personnel in the delivery of assigned resident care on assigned unit. Directly supervises Certified Nursing Assistants to ensure assignments and care are complete based on professional standards. Accomplishes retention results by communicating assignment, planning, monitoring, appraising positive results, counseling, and disciplining staff under direct supervision.

  • Active RN/LPN Nursing License for the State of Mississippi
