Intern, Technical Product Support - Mechanical Engineering

Legend Valve is headquartered in Auburn Hills, Michigan; with A second location in Reno, Nevada; and our newest location in Stafford. TX.

Position Overview
Provide technical product support within the Legend Valve Engineering & Technical Services Department in the overall sales effort of the company. This position will primarily oversee the
development of product specification / submittal sheets. This entails coordination of efforts between Technical Advisors and the Graphics Department to ensure the completion of
specification sheets in a timely fashion. Other duties include, but not limited to, general support with the development of technical product documentation (installation, maintenance, and
operation instructions, etc…); support of Customer Service with short term projects and “quick answer” technical issues; product QC inspection and testing; and Hydronic project design
support. The products supported by the Technical Department include valves (ball, gate, check, etc…) fittings and a variety of ancillary products used in HVAC, plumbing, water service,
irrigation, fire protection, etc… systems and/or similar supporting systems and industries. This position enables insight into the daily operations of the Legend Valve Technical Department and
valuable experience in working with engineers and industry experienced Technical Advisors.

Requirements
Mechanical Engineering student - Junior or Senior year·

General product quality control knowledge
Strong communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Basic MS Word & Excel knowledge
Basic AutoCAD knowledge

Other Skills/Abilities
· Capable of operating general laboratory test equipment (e.g. microscopes, pumps, air compressor, etc.)
