Rinker Design Associates, LLC, has excellent opportunities for motivated civil engineering Interns. This internship will introduce young professionals to the design and development of transportation projects for VDOT and local municipalities. Transportation Engineering Interns will gain valuable experience with highway, water resource/hydraulic, traffic, structural, and utility engineering. Typical projects range from large design/build transportation projects to traditional projects for local government, state, and private sectors.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs basic computations, analysis, and design tasks.
- Assists in the preparation of permits, applications, material testing, drawings, and computer-aided design work.
- Maintains high standards of work product and receives direction from peers.
Position Requirements:
- Enrolled in a Civil Engineering University program transportation engineering design required.
- Must demonstrate teamwork and possess written and oral communication skills.
