Director of Operations

Full Time | Day Shift | 8AM-5PM

Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio is currently seeking a Director of Operations for LSS Health Center (formerly Health Center at Faith Mission) in Columbus, Ohio. What will I do as a Director of Operations with Lutheran Social Services?

  • Supervise, develop, and coach staff to ensure high quality services within the guidelines of the agency mission and vision.
  • Plan, develop, implement, and monitor practices that ensure high quality programming and services.
  • Ensure health center program services are operating in compliance with all grants, contract, and funding source parameters, including HRSA, SAMHSA, and CDC. Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local rules and regulations including infection control, and other criteria for monitoring surveys, and site visits. Collaborate with Quality Assurance manager and other leadership to establish and maintain new accreditation. Act as co-lead for monitoring visits and audits.
  • Act as a dedicated and professional member of LSS Health Center leadership team.
  • Establish/develop collaborative relationships with other LSSCO business lines and divisions, community agencies, systems, and institutions including working closely with the Director of Operations of LSS CHOICES, CQI Director, and the Director of Operations - Faith Mission, to ensure optimal program operations.
  • Engage in an enterprise-wide community of practice to share and leverage best practices and develop policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with the Executive Director and leadership team to maintain HRSA compliance for all designated programs in collaboration with CQI Director and quality assurance and program teams.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements for a Director of Operations with Lutheran Social Services:

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in social work, health care, or an associated field, master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive management experience in the social services or health care industry with a focus on program administration and development.
  • Thorough understanding of practices, theories, and policies involved in health care and business operations.
  • Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
  • Valid Ohio driver's license, access to reliable insured transportation and ability to meet LSS insurance standards required.
