Job Description:

At Engineered Systems, we want to foster the personal growth of each team member. We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual with experience from the crane and hoist industry to join our team as the Territory Sales Manager in Raleigh, North Carolina. The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for managing sales efforts with existing accounts as well as developing new accounts in assigned territories. With much opportunity for significant advancement, the Territory Sales Manager will utilize leadership, sales, customer service, and project management skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Passionate leader who shares in the vision and Purpose Statement of Engineered Systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Sales or Business Management, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum of three years of field Sales experience
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport and build valuable relationships
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to positively lead and work in a team environment
  • Organized and disciplined in executing job responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute annual goals and objectives for your territory in concert with the VP of Operations.
  • Identify and qualify potential leads, and actively pursue new business opportunities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, building strong relationships and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities within your territory
  • Use customer and prospect contact tools and systems (CRM), and update relevant information held in these systems.
  • Search out new opportunities through a program of targeting potential customers that have a need for the products and services Engineered Systems can provide.
  • Provide Engineering with sufficient information to develop quotations on fabricated systems to enable them to generate an accurate quote package
  • Support and enforce the use of the functional organization structure.
  • Develop and maintain a scheduled routine for promoting the sale of all crane and hoist products and services offered by Engineered Systems
  • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information.
  • Work closely with all vendors to take advantage of available training, support, and product knowledge to further the sale of their products and services.
  • Attend trade shows, conventions, seminars, and read trade publications to enhance professional knowledge and to promote the company’s interests.
  • Develop quotes for all sales opportunities except fabricated systems and maintenance opportunities.
  • Support, build-up, assist, motivate, and train other associates within the company to help them perform their job functions as efficiently as possible
  • In addition to the responsibilities above, the Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for other duties assigned.
