Outdoor Recreation Specialist

Located in the Sand Hills of Nebraska, Dismal River Club is well known for its two-world class Golf courses and 5 stars facilities: fishing ponds, kayaking, long range shooting, five stand clays, river run shooting clay course, pistol range, pheasant/buffalo hunts, pool, and spa. The 27,000 sq/ft. clubhouse includes a full bar and restaurant where guests can enjoy our very own Dismal River beef and several other amazing entrees.

Compensation $16-18/hr based on experience. One meal provided per shift. Unlimited golf privilages (with supervisor permission).

Status Full time and part time avaiable. Seasonal

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Guide and support guests on all Outdoor Recreation activities including but not limited to horseback riding, fishing, kayaking, UTV tours, and shooting.
• shooting and property wide recreational activities.
• Implementation of chores including taking care of dogs (feed, clean kennels, water and exercise)
• Take care of bird stock (water, feed, clean-up)
• Keep Outdoor Operations vehicles clean for client and guest use. Keep fueled and report any maintenance issues.
• Trap shooting ranges/ courses, pigeon ring and long-range shooting facility. This includes keeping all weapons clean, facilities clean and ready for guest use.
• Assist in keeping inventory on ammo, feed and supplies and equipment for use in Outdoor Operations department.
• Help support all property wide departments.
• Keep all work areas clean and always organized.
• Must wear appropriate DRC gear at the clubhouse and when around clients, members and guests.

Qualifications:

• High school education required.
• 3 years’ experience in Outdoor Recreation fields.
• Demonstrated quality written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; work flexible hours as required including nights/weekends.
• Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.

Supervises:

Personnel assigned to assist with outdoor activities.
