The Inventory Clerk holds a critical role in ensuring the efficient and precise management of data within the APH data processing system. Key responsibilities include data entry, meticulous review, and timely data retrieval. Additionally, the Inventory Clerk plays a pivotal role in generating reports promptly and maintaining effective communication across the organization, particularly with stores, MIS (Management Information Systems), and Inventory Control.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Reporting: Compile and analyze inventory data regularly, producing reports as needed.
  • Program Execution: Run designated programs to extract relevant information for reporting purposes.
  • Standard Reports: Generate standard inventory reports for different stakeholders.
  • Data Summarization: Transform raw data into concise summary pages suitable for your intended audience
  • Team Support: Assist fellow team members and management as needed.
  • Issue Communication: Proactively identify and address issues affecting operational efficiency.
  • Customer Service: Respond promptly to internal customer requests, providing accurate information.
  • Continuous Learning: Participate in training programs to stay informed about company updates, inventory processes, and industry practices.
  • Positive Interaction: Maintain a calm and positive demeanor while interacting with fellow employees and customers.
  • Issue Resolution: If unable to address a customer’s concerns or complaints satisfactorily, collaborate with other members of the Merchandising or Corporate team.

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Attention to Detail: Maintain accuracy in reporting, data handling and in conveying information.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with inventory management software and reporting tools.
  • Communication Skills: Clearly convey information through summary pages and reports.
  • Time Management: Adhere to reporting schedules and deadlines.
  • Effective Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for positive interactions with colleagues and customers.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively within a team environment.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues promptly and handle customer concerns and assistance when needed.

  • Occasional overnight travel required to support store changeovers as Inventory Lead on Project.
  • 2 year degree or relevant industry experience
  • Automotive knowledge a plus
