Job Summary

The Unit Training Management Program (UTMP), Intel Instructor will provide part-time support to the Second Marine Expeditionary Forces, Second Intelligence Battalion ensuring all Intelligence IMINT/Geospatial Marines and others are trained to the highest standards of readiness prior to worldwide deployment in Joint Operating Environments. You will collaborate with active-duty Marines, Sailors and other service members internal and external to the organization. The UTMP, Intel Instructor will aid the UTMP contractor Staff Lead, Staff Operations Support, Staff Instructors and Battalion Operations and Training team in executing the courses associated with the UTMP.


Intel Instructors will be exposed to the Agile program management approach and the Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate (ADDIE) instructional design model. The UTMP Intel Instructor will coordinate with the UTMP Staff Lead, other staff members and instructors to consistently support training and education program materials and methods with stated objectives. The UTMP Intel Instructor will take part in reviews of course and program elements and make recommendations and adjustments as applicable. The UTMP Intel Instructor may also be taught as a Joint Network Analysis & Targeting Instructor (JNAT-I) in order to better support the customer requirements. The UTMP Intel Instructor works with the Quality Assurance designs to ensure that improved methods and processes follow published regulations.

Requirements:

Specific Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the UTMP Staff Lead, Staff Operations support, Staff Instructors and the Battalion’s Operations and Training leadership, course chiefs, and internal analysts to build and improve the unit training management program and curricular activities specifically focused on the full range of intelligence MOSs.
  • Participate in education and training events, using provided instructor and student materials, evaluations, and engage students using alternate learning methods.
  • Execute, and assess student and staff training across the 2D INTL BN Unit Training Management Program.
  • Work with contractor Staff Instructors, Staff Support, and subject matter experts to train target audience and specific training needs of specified intelligence MOSs.

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity in supporting and or collaborating with the U.S. Marine Corps and other DoD services.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Must possess self-motivation and a high level of discretion to work effectively.
  • Must be able to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects and have a strong attention for detail.
  • Former Marine intelligence MOS SNCO, Officer or Warrant Officer executing MOS responsibilities in related field for a minimum of 8-12 years.
  • Work experience executing intel operations and training, instruction, assessments, and performance evaluation systems.
  • Experience supporting Marine Corps or DoD Intelligence int operations and training at the Battalion Level or higher is required, or at a formal DoD school in preferred.
  • Experience supporting SOF operations and training is highly desired.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • Garrison work environment including but not limited to:
    • occasional field/tactical environments
    • occasional extended working hours may be required
    • schedule: M-F 0700 to 1700

Travel

  • Up to 15% Domestics travel may be required for training and program coordination.
