Job Description

Job Description
Grace Community Chapel (gccfamily.org) is a small, evangelical church in Seekonk, MA, seeking a full-time Senior Pastor who is committed to expositional preaching and sound, doctrinal teaching of God’s Word.

Grace Community Chapel was founded in 1993 by a group of Christian believers who desired to worship God together, adhering to Biblical truth and growing in Christ through the Word, songs, and prayer. We are credo-baptistic and elder ruled. We own our church building and are financially stable. Pastor Paul Rohart led the congregation for many years, faithfully preaching the Scripture. In 2002, Pastor Richard Glenny came from Illinois to pastor Grace Community Chapel. Under his leadership the church continued faithfully in the preaching and teaching of the good news of Christ. In 2012, Pastor Jim Wilkes, a long-time pastor in New England, accepted the call of the elders to pastor Grace Community Chapel. Our current pastor is retiring, and we are now searching for the next man of God to shepherd the church and faithfully preach the Word of God.

Requirements
The Candidate
We are looking for an ordained man who is committed to expositional preaching and sound, doctrinal teaching of God’s Word. The ideal candidate would have some pastoral experience, a willingness to serve alongside a team of lay elders, a desire to shepherd God’s flock, and a commitment to a gospel-centered ministry to both the lost and the saints. This is a full-time position.

The Qualifications
We require a man that meets the qualifications in I Timothy and Titus. The pulpit has been faithfully filled over the years and we want a new pastor who is also gifted at preaching and teaching the Word of God. The church is healthy, eager to grow in the Word of God and praying for the next pastor God would have for us.
