Job Description --- JROTC SECRETARY

(MPS) MILITARY PROPERTY SPECIALIST FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

POSITION 12-Month (5 hour workdays during the summer)

Reports to and performs all duties assigned by Principal.


The School District MPS reports directly to the Director of Army Instruction and is responsible for providing direction and guidance to elements of the JROTC Program in the supply management, involving equipment authorization, acquisition, disposal, and accountability of all United States Government property issued to JROTC Cadets.


SPECIFIC DUTIES

Requisition, receive, store, issue, inventory and account for supplies requisitioned through the Army Supply System IAE AR 710-2 and CCR 700-1, or commercial items acquired and/or paid for in accordance with current regulatory guidance and command policy using the Government Purchase Card (GPC)


Secure and maintain adequate space to receive, store and issue clothing, supplies and equipment for JROTC Cadets.


Ensure a 10% monthly and a 100% physical inventory of all property is conducted annually and the results are furnished to the Installation Property Book Office at HQ Fort Benning, GA, in a timely manner.


Ensure sensitive items are inventoried monthly and the report is submitted to the support installation IAW their guidance.


Maintain cunent record of all serial numbered items.


Ensure all requests, turn-ins, and hand receipt transfers are prepared in accordance with CCR (CADET COMMAND REGULATION)


Repo11 to and acknowledge purchases of Non-Expendable items to the PBO within 3 working days. HQ (Head Quarters) supporting installation, Fort Benning, GA.


Maintain a current copy of a BOND/INSURANCE certificate and required JUMS report, and maintain accountability of all equipment IAW (ARMY REGULATION) AR 10-2
