Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

JOB SUMMARY:

Atlas Medical is seeking a full time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to assist with our clinic position. Provider must be able to evaluate and treat patients, have a caring and professional beside manner, must be able to collaborate with other providers, and work independently as well as with other staff members.

Location: Wasilla, AK

Pay: $105,000 - $120,000 (depending on experience)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide primary care services to patients living in long term care, assisted living, and group home settings
  • Manage all aspects of the patients' healthcare and multiple comorbid conditions
  • Consult with and educate the patient/family regarding self-care, disease process, and end of life care
  • The provider is independent in his or her management of the assigned patients; Atlas will provide quality measures that will be expected in the care
  • The provider will work closely with facility staff, patient families, and Atlas/Aegis support staff to provide patient centered care
  • Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Possess a National Board Certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the state of AK
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a PRIMARY CARE setting or equivalent experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Valid Driver's license, clean driving record and reliable automobile
  • Proof of current automobile insurance
  • Current CPR certification
  • Criminal background check clearance/fingerprint clearance
  • Negative TB test

Job Factors:

Physical Requirements: Must possess sight/hearing senses or use appropriate adaptive devices that will enable senses to function at a level required to meet the essential duties of this position.

Mental Requirements: Must be able to work independently, make judgements based off assessments and data available and act accordingly. Must be flexible, innovative and possess good interpersonal skills. Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress and demonstrate emotional stability.

Transportation: Must have valid driver's license, auto liability insurance and reliable transportation.

Working Conditions: Be able to tolerate exposure to the elements including, but not limited to, odors, blood, body, fluids and excrements, adverse environmental conditions and hazardous materials.

Working Environment: Works indoors in office, patient facilities/homes and travels to/from patient facilities/homes.
