Therapist Pay Range:

Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role. Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education and experience as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.

Salary: $59,862.54 - $89,793.82 DOE

Therapist Summary: The EASA Therapist provides information and support to young people who are experiencing symptoms of psychosis for the first time. EASA works closely with family members and others who are supportive of the individual to help them succeed. Services are based on practice guidelines developed by the Early Psychosis Prevention and Intervention Center (EPPIC), and best practice guidelines from the United States. EASA is a transitional program, serving people for approximately two years. Services will be community-based. The Position will also provide services for coordinating the access to and provision of services from multiple agencies, establishing service linkages, advocating for treatment needs, and providing entitlements based on mental or emotional disability.

Therapist Education: Must meet requirements to qualify as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP). QMHPs shall meet the following minimum qualifications and shall hold one of the following educational degrees.

  • Graduate degree in Psychology.
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing and licensed by the state of Oregon.
  • Graduate degree in social work.
  • Graduate degree in a behavioral science field.
  • Graduate degree in recreational, music or art therapy.
  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy and licensed by the State of Oregon.

Therapist Responsibilities:

  • Outreach and engagement with assigned clients and their support networks.
  • Conduct assessments, determine diagnosis and develop a treatment plan.
  • Education and support for individuals and families/primary support systems.
  • Crisis and relapse planning.
  • Assistance with knowing and accessing rights and available benefits.
  • Goal setting and planning.
  • Mentoring and opportunities to meet others.
  • Independent living skill development.
  • Occupational therapy.
  • Resource brokering and advocacy.
  • Support for vocational and educational settings.
  • Assisting clients with accessing group and individual counseling.
  • Medication support.
  • Compliance with all agency policies and procedures.
  • Cultural responsiveness, effective communication, care coordination.
  • Inter- and intra-agency collaboration.
  • Working alliances with individuals, suicide and other risk assessments and interventions.
  • Creating and monitoring safety plans, completion of bio-psycho-social assessments and additional assessments.
  • Updating assessments when clinical circumstances change.
  • Generating a differential DSM diagnosis, prioritizing health, wellness, and recovery needs.
  • Writing measurable service objectives, creating, monitoring, and revising service plans.
  • Delivery of mental health and recovery treatment services in individual, group, and family formats within their scope.
  • Gathering and recording data that measures progress toward the service objectives and documenting services, supports, and other information supportive of the service plan.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: If the employee is an unlicensed therapist or is not actively in the licensing process, employee must meet the requirements to become MHACBO QMHP-C Certified and maintain certification. This must be maintained for the length of employment. Valid Oregon driver’s license with insurable driving record. Personal automobile insurance is required if clients are transported, or any agency business is conducted using personal vehicle. Authorization to work in the United States
