Transportation Claims & Collections Associate-Temporary

Purpose of Position:

This position will be responsible for maintaining and servicing a financial relationship with North America Trade customers. In this role, will also maximize cash collections and maintain accounts receivable within established guidelines.

Accountabilities:

• Review accounts receivable aged trial balance, to ensure proper invoicing and application of all transactions, and review report with the Credit Supervisor, to document status of key collection accounts and consultative interaction.
• Document all calls and contact customers to obtain payment commitments for unpaid invoices, enforcement of credit terms and to provide any documentation required to expedite payment.
• Maintain a productive and supportive relationship with Transportation team in field offices.
• Maintain integrity in documenting and archiving the customer files.
• Complete special projects as assigned.

Minimum Skills Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years of Commercial Collections experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Excellent communication skills (i.e. oral and written).
• Ability to exercise sound judgment, and independent thinking.
• Transportation knowledge
• Billing knowledge

Preferred:

• College Degree.
• Experience in McLoud, SAP, and Oracle Accounting Software.
