JOB SUMMARY

Outpost Retail Coordinators assist the NOC Retail Team and River Manager by overseeing daily operations on the sales floor and providing leadership to our Retail Sales Guides. They provide our guests with an extraordinary customer experience by sharing their passion for the activities and products that the NOC promotes.

Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management
  • Work with NOC Retail Team to plan for NOC logo merchandise and set pre-season orders.
  • Ensure that store inventory is adequate to meet the demands of the guest flow, and either place replenishing orders or work with the Retail Team to have sufficient back-stock
  • Utilize sales trends to shift inventory to maximize revenue across the operations.
  • Ensure that all inventory is appropriately entered into Lightspeed; including but not limited to utilizing P.O.s, appropriate naming standards, consistent pricing.

Merchandising and Store Management

  • Maintain a well-stocked floor through use of sales/inventory reports.
  • Work alongside staff to ensure a tidy and presentable floor.
  • Work with NOC Retail Team to establish a merchandising plan for the store and maintain an established aesthetic.

Accounting Practices

  • Conduct complete inventory counts, pre, mid and post season. Complete with report to Accounting.
  • Manage shrink through inventory counts and operational assessments. Effectively communicate inventory issues to Accounting and work with Operations staff to implement solutions.

Ensure a positive guest experience

  • Embrace a high standard for guest service
  • Ensure the guest is the number one priority at all times
  • Training and Communication
  • Train Operations staff as needed on conducting sales through Lightspeed.
  • Provide weekly sales reports to Operations Manager and NOC Retail Leadership
  • Coordinate with other Outpost Retail Coordinators and NOC Retail Team to maximize revenue through inventory transfers, product knowledge, and observed sales trends.
  • Keep lines of communication open with management and fellow staff members
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Preferred

  • Prior experience working in a retail setting
  • Cash handling experience
  • Enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the outdoor adventures and products that the NOC promotes and sells
  • Knowledge of Lightspeed retail POS system
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

  • Comfortable working in a guest facing position
