Purgatory Correctional Facility

$33.50 to $41.90 an hour depending on experience.

Hours: Various; includes holidays, and weekends. Currently looking to fill night shifts.

Performs working level professional nursing services for inmates housed in the Washington County Correctional facility.

Assesses patients' health care needs by use of knowledge and training as a Registered Nurse licensed, without restrictions, in the State of Utah.

Using nursing skills and knowledge, refers patients to appropriate health care providers such as hospital-based emergency departments, physicians, dentists and/or mental health workers.

Provides health care to patients in all areas of the correctional setting including, but not limited to, the following treats various injuries as they occur; checks inmates to determine medical needs or potential problems; conducts pregnancy and strep throat tests; performs vital signs and urine checks; answers medical questions, monitors and treats alcohol and drug withdrawal; performs blood draws needed for various lab work and tests.

1. Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Utah.
2. No experience necessary.
3. Must be able to pass an extensive background investigation.
