A typical day as a Field Service Engineer | Technician

As a field service engineer, you are an important face of the organization.

You will participate in installation, repairs, and maintaining the equipment while adding value for the customer.

You will travel on-site for troubleshooting any issues our customer has with machinery.

Prior to visiting any customer, you will receive important information related to improvement opportunities from your fellow Technical Support associates.

This briefing will include any action or troubleshooting activities already taken with the customer in an attempt to address their needs.

Upon arrival at the customer's facility, you will meet with a primary contact and visit the equipment for evaluation and inspection.

Once you have identified any areas of concern or improvement, you will work collectively with the Technical Support team to develop a plan for correcting the issues.

You will then confirm the necessary parts or tools needed prior to implementation.

These day to day technical issues might be related to electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or mechanical systems.


What you need for this job

Demonstrate exceptional customer service with patience

Conduct yourself in a conscious safe manner while respecting safety rules

Deliver quality and value in your work with adaptability and dependability with a high degree of accuracy

Effective communication skills Associate degree is preferred or equivalent years of experience with machining or machine setup and installation Five years of experience in the machine tool industry is preferred - we provide necessary training to develop and perfect your craft Ability to read and analyze technical information related to schematics, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Willingness to learn and develop into a highly skilled individual Self-motivated and project-driven Valid driver's license Ability to obtain a passport Diagnose and resolve CNC G Code FANUC part program performance issues is a definite plus


Work Schedule

We generally work first shift Monday-Friday and travel as needed
