This role is responsible for defining and executing key marketing activities and sales targets for North America market (e.g. volume, prices, portfolio mix) and establishes appropriate metrics and measurement tools to monitor performance. Proactively anticipates results and identifies gaps in order to take early remedial action and ensure these targets are achieved in the local markets

**Your responsibilities**

* Drives the growth of the top line in North America market. Jointly with the rest of Power Consulting organization, implements actions to ensure achievement of sales volume, margin and product mix targets

* Responsible for developing sales pipeline with specific focus on expanding the scope with existing customers and penetration in new customers and sectors.

* Evaluates and secures potential in the markets understanding their needs and ensuring proactive sales approach with effective proposal delivery. Collaborates effectively across the consulting organization with regional/local leadership and with subject matter personnel to execute the sales cycle developing new business from new customers and expand business with existing clients

* Conducts market competitive analysis and market segment definition activities. Ensures the market is well monitored by developing, maintaining and effective usage of marketing and sales tools.

* Develops appropriate communications for the key audiences and communicates outputs effectively to the right people.

* Develops relationships with key stake holders. Responsible for planning and implementing customer surveys, analyzing and acting on the results in order to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

* Defines customers requirements and develops supporting business cases for clients.

* Ensures processes established to proactively identify and manage risks relating to contract agreements and prices across customers/channels.

**Your background**

* Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field and 8 plus years of experience with significant portion involved with customer contact and selling of consulting and advisory services through in depth expertise in the Energy sector and customer relationship skills.

* Proven experience in creating opportunities in the market with experience in technical & business consulting related to electrical sector required.

* Strong knowledge of utility system operation, planning and design practices; and experience in the application of technical & business-related consulting for the power market

* Ability to understand customer needs and build up a consulting offering from it.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English required. Language communications skills in Spanish will be a plus.

* Willingness to travel as needed, up to 50%.

* Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi ABB Power Grids in the United States.
