Housekeeping Room Attendant/Houseman

**Job Purpose/Functions:** The **Room Attendant** cleans condo and resort-style rooms to ensure an inviting and comfortable experience for our guests. * Cleaning, making beds, replenishing linens/amenities, and vacuuming. Cleaning units may include, but not limited to: bathrooms, kitchens, living rooms, bedrooms, fans, and porches. Other duties may include, but not limited to: cleaning porch furniture and outside of entry doors, cleaning and maintaining porch fans.

* Responds in a timely manner to execute and deliver guest requests.

* Other duties as assigned.

**Job Purpose/Functions:** The **Houseman** assists and supports the Inspectors and Room Attendants in meeting quality and timeliness standards. Perform any combination of light cleaning duties to maintain resort establishments in a clean and orderly manner. * Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts.

* Disinfect equipment and supplies, using germicides or steam-operated sterilizers.

* Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.

* Observe precautions required to protect hotel and guest property and report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors.

* Replenish supplies, such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies, and bathroom items.

* Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaners and shampooers

* Empty trash bins. Wipe down outside of trash cans.

* Good communication skills with the ability to effectively respond to guest requests and questions from managers, supervisors, and co-workers.

* Self-Motivated and Team Player mentality.

* Detail Oriented.

* Organization skills.

* Perform routine work over and over again.

* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
