**JOB SUMMARY**

The temporary **Security Officer/Shuttle Driver** p rovides security and transportation services for ENI employees and associated contractor employees with a special focus on COVID-19 protocols. Transport will be in and around the Anchorage area utilizing a passenger van provided by the client, to/from locations such as the Anchorage Airport, hotels, private residences, ENI local office, or other appropriate locations. Represents the company in a professional demeanor and exhibits excellent customer service, punctuality, and communication skills.

Incumbents in this position are required to maintain a State of Alaska Security Guard License (unarmed). Typical work schedule is 12 hours/day, 7 days/week with willingness to work extended/irregular hours including holidays.

This is a temporary position created to manage and respond to the COVID-19 pandemic situation. Reports to the DUS Security Director with a dotted line to the Captain.

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**

* Minimum of 21 years of age

* High School diploma or GED

* Valid drivers license, clean driving record & safe driving skills

* Prior work experience in private security, military service, law enforcement, corrections, or a related field

* Knowledge of security operations and procedures including use of personal protective equipment

* Ability to present self in a highly professional, positive and courteous manner

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Strong time management and customer service skills

* Attention to detail

* Maturity of judgement and behavior. Highly responsible and reliable.

* Ability to work independently and carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision.

* Ability to safely operate a passenger van in all types of weather with widely varying road conditions.

* Ability to use navigation tools such as GPS, smartphone apps, and/or maps.

* Ability to work a flexible schedule. Typical work schedule is 12 hours per day/7 days per week with availability to work extended hours including holidays.

* State of Alaska unarmed security guard license (or ability to obtain)

* Emergency Trauma Technician certification (or ability to obtain)

* Must be able to pass the Companys pre-employment screening process, including drug screen, criminal background investigation and post-offer physical/fitness for duty evaluation

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**

**Vehicle Operations**

* Safely operate passenger van in all types of weather with widely varying road conditions

* Display working knowledge of Anchorage and the ability to navigate around the city with little or no challenges using modern navigation tools such as GPS

* Transport personnel to and from various destinations as requested while maintaining professional demeanor, punctuality, excellent customer relations and professional appearance

* Upon request, deliver items to clients and/or businesses

* Fill out daily vehicle maintenance checklist and perform daily preventative maintenance checks.

* Keep the interior of the vehicle clean including windows

* Sanitize the vehicle after each transport in order to prevent or limit the spread of Covid-19 virus

* Keep the exterior of the vehicle washed or rinsed off as weather &conditions require

* May lift luggage, freight and personal belongings to and from vehicle

* May assist passengers in and out of the vehicle

* Report vehicle/safety incidents promptly per company procedures

**Security Responsibilities:**

* Understand and comply with all company/client safety and risk management policies and procedures

* Read, comprehend, and employ security policies and procedures. Utilize clear and appropriate communication skills in formal and informal settings.

* Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state/local licensing and permit requirements for unarmed Security Officer and applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

* May confront suspicious persons, assess intentions, and take action as appropriate

* Effectively and coherently communicate over radio channels while initiating and responding to radio communications (if applicable)

* Utilize clear and appropriate communication skills when communicating with people by giving information or directions, mediating disputes, advising of processes and rules, and de-escalating altercations

* Takes accurate scene photos and gathers information in investigations by interviewing and obtaining statements of all participants and witnesses

* Reduces observations or investigation results to written form so as to clearly and accurately capture the incident observed or investigated

* Exercise sound judgment in determining appropriate action when there is a reasonable suspicion to detain, when probable cause exists to search and arrest, and when force may be used and to what degree

* Comprehend, evaluate, and correctly respond to oral information received from a wide variety of sources such as supervisors, witnesses, victims, or through a variety of other means such as personal statements, radio, or telephone transmissions

* Maintain composure and control of the situation when confronted with the hostile views and opinions of people encountered in an antagonistic environment

* Maintain regular and punctual attendance

* Willingness to perform other duties as required

**WORKING ENVIRONMENT**

This position operates in an independent and autonomous environment with high accountability to client(s) and customers. Work schedule consists of twelve-hour days; must be able to work day or night shifts as required. The majority of the work is performed in an urban setting with a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities and abilities.

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**

The employees work requires routine walking, driving, standing, bending, and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds. The role requires great stamina and state of alertness.
