Special Education Teacher - Nyssa, OR

ProCare Therapy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Nyssa, OR. As a contracted Special Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional educational support to students with diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated instruction across various subjects, adapting teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Utilize assessment data to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with other members of the education team, including parents, administrators, and support staff, to ensure a comprehensive and supportive learning environment for students.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress, attendance, and behavior.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Valid state Teaching License with Special Education endorsement.
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder, Emotional/Behavioral Disorders, and Intellectual Disabilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to remain flexible and adaptable in a dynamic educational environment.
