QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED required. Must have excellent interpersonal skills in a mixed culture context. Must be organized, professional, and able to establish and maintain supportive working relationships with staff, the public, service groups, and facility users. A minimum of 2 years of work experience as a receptionist, greeter, administrative assistant, or equivalent is required. Experience working in youth programming/services preferred. The majority of this experience should have had high public contact and visibility. Must be able to operate a personal computer and learn how to operate various software applications. Must have experience in customer service including conflict resolution skills to respond to membership, fee, or program related inquiries.

ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains a positive peer relationship and performs as a team player.
  • Plans and prioritizes to maintain a time and attendance record which complies with Marimn Health policy.

  • Consistently promote a positive, professional image of Marimn Health at all times and provide consistent high-quality customer service to all Members.
  • Support Boys & Girls Club activities by familiarizing self with daily activities, youth camps, youth council activities, and special events or sport opportunities
  • Act as a program liaison to families and community.
  • Take the lead with programming reservations and communicate with team regarding the coordination and use of the gym, conference rooms, and natatorium in support to daily programming reservations.
  • Work with internal and external programs to schedule collaborative opportunities within the Boys & Girls Club.
  • Familiarize self with Club curriculum, targeted to meet health and wellness, education and leadership, arts, membership, and security in support of Boys & Girls Club best practices.
  • Keep Manager informed, especially in regard to matters of significance that may arise, ensuring overall youth safety.
  • Consistently demonstrate positive and effective communication skills and interactions with the Wellness Services Director, members of Wellness Services Team, employees, members, parents, volunteers, and other agencies and organizations.
  • Work and direct others to work in a safe manner, in person or per company radio etiquette policy and procedure.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of, and comply with the company’s policies and procedures, including the rules and procedures contained in the Marimn Health Boys & Girls Club Member Handbook and consistently and appropriately enforce them.
  • Assist with future fundraising, special events, and new programming development.
  • Gathers and submits event information to marketing following wellness services protocol.
  • Assists marketing with the development of the monthly newsletter in adherence to organization timelines, requesting support and attention with materials when timelines cannot be met.
  • Sends out weekly communications to parents about important information for Teen Services, BGC, youth sports and recreation activities/programming.
  • Work closely with the Boys & Girls Club Manager to assist with overall programmatic planning.
  • Responsible for all communications with parents/guardians and Club members. Assist with community awareness and marketing of the program and special events.
  • Make recommendations and secures purchase orders for equipment, supplies and maintenance needs of the program utilizing electronic system.
  • Attend required staff meetings and serves on assigned committees and prepares reports as requested.
  • Flexibility to assist with chaperoning Boys & Girls Club events and activities.
  • Respond in a timely manner to assignments and communicates with Manager when timelines cannot be met.
  • Work as a team member of the Boys & Girls Club and Wellness Services Team.
  • Collaborate with schools and other organizations.
  • Responsible for maintaining member roster in alignment with ActiveNet to support data collection, specific to: memberships, attendance, fee’s and overall Club specific participation.
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of members, including the youth, teens, elderly, physically and mentally disabled and people with health problems.
  • Responds promptly to Member requests or concerns.
  • Has a positive and appropriate relationship with youth, teens and parents and program staff.
    • Participates in ongoing education toward applicable and additional certifications.
    • Maintains current certifications, updating when necessary and before expiration date(s).
    • Attends all meetings and trainings as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
