Position Summary
The role of the IT Product Specialist is to manage the entire lifecycle of assigned IT product(s) or service(s). Major responsibilities include collaborating with key stakeholders in the selection process, developing detailed system designs from requirements, contract management, vendor management, capacity management, contributing to future direction and roadmaps, escalated support and product consulting, documentation, and training.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $114,000
Bay Area Maximum: $182,000
Job Responsibilities
- Performs advanced planning, management, testing and supports deployment of network assets, specifically routers and switches, and linked systems and peripherals in order to enhance and support Gas and Electric business.
- Provides consulting and guidance during the detailed design, build, test and deploy phases of IT projects.
- Provides administration and oversight of technology contracts, collaborating with our Sourcing organization on renewals and updates.
- Develops, updates, modifies, and maintains work procedures and standards.
- Assists in developing and implementing training, delivers state mandated technical training to Technicians.
- Ensures system health and availability of our network infrastructure, collaborating with peers and team members.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Associates Degree in Computer Science or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
- 4 years job-related technical experience
- 1 year experience with software, job-related
Desired:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
- 6 years job-related technical experience
- Utility industry experience, regulated
