CHS, Inc is looking for an individual to join the team in our location agronomy as a Seasonal CDL Driver starting today through the end of the spring agronomy season(July to August), with a potential to come back for the fall agronomy season(October)! Our agronomy team delivers and applies custom fertility and crop protection solutions - come work in partnership with some of Illinois’ best crop producers today. Day to day you will independently drive & deliver our crop protection and crop nutrient products locally. - Ensure accurate and on time deliveries to our customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws. To include but not limited to pre-trip and post-trip reporting, proper load securement and hours of service.
- Assist in the warehouse when not delivering product.
- Work extended hours in-season to meet business demands.
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions
- Assist warehouse staff and perform other duties as needed or assigned.
- 1+ years of experience in Supply Chain and Procurement and/or Transportation and Logistics
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum of Class B CDL REQUIRED
Tanker and Air Brake endorsements REQUIRED
- Maintain a CDL A or B and DOT medical card
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Ability to work 7 days a week 8 to 12 hours a day, (weather dependent), to meet business demands
- Agriculture background preferred
- Customer service experience preferred
- Bulk liquid experience preferred
