Eggspert Cook for Busy Bagel and Sandwich Shop

Buddy's Bagels, Sarasota's beloved bagel joint, is on the hunt for a few eggceptional cooks. Are you up for the challenge? We're seeking seasoned cooks with at least 1 year of experience in a busy, made-to-order/short order setting. Our menu consists of hot & cold deli sandwiches and breakfast sandwiches - so being an eggspert egg maker is essential.

We're open 7 days a week, serving breakfast and lunch from 7AM to 2PM. Typical shifts are 6:30AM to 2:30PM. Weekend availability is absolutely essential (but you can rotate), and we operate on most holidays. As a food service pro, you know the drill.

At Buddy's Bagels, our Cooks start at $16/hour, plus you'll also receive a cut of the daily tip pool, typically adding an extra $150-$200/week to your earnings. Even better, you get the perk of avoiding Sarasota rush hour traffic, having your afternoons free, and a free shift meal. Talk about a sweet deal!

Professionalism, personal hygiene, maintaining a clean, functional workstation, supportive teamwork, and punctuality are all vital to your role.

Requirements

Here are the "must-have's":

• 1+ year of quick service, short-order grill experience preferred, but we are willing to trade some experience for talent and the right attitude.

• Age 18 or older
• Legally authorized to work in the US. We use E-Verify for all new hires.
• High School or equivalent degree
• Reliable transportation and the ability to be reliably on-time.
• Able to stand for long hours, lift a minimum of 30lbs, and move around the kitchen without limitations.
• Able to speak clearly, write, and read English proficiently. Bilingual with Spanish is a plus.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Get orders consistently correct and produce quality products.
• Be a great team member and take pride in your work!
