Von & Bick Healthcare Associates  is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSP) with a focus on providing care for clients with Developmental Disabilities and Behavioral Health challenges (DBHDD). As a DSP-CNA/Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of our clients by offering personalized support, fostering independence, and promoting a positive and inclusive environment. Patient will need care M-F 9 am-5 pm. Every other week M-Sunday 9 am-3 pm. 

  

Responsibilities:

 Personalized Care:

  • Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. 
  • Administer medication as prescribed and maintain accurate documentation. 
  • Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring the health and well-being of clients. 

  

 Behavioral Support:

  • Implement and follow behavioral support plans designed for each individual. 
  • Employ positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desired behaviors. 
  • Assist in crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies. 

  

Assessment and Planning:

  • Participate in the development and updating of individualized care plans. 
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess client needs and progress. 
  • Report observations and concerns to supervisors and participate in team meetings. 

  

Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, documenting care provided and any significant changes. 
  • Report incidents, accidents, or unusual occurrences promptly and in accordance with policies. 

  

Communication: 

  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and interdisciplinary team members. 
  •  Provide updates on client progress and participate in regular team meetings. 

  

Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures. 
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations and agency policies. 

  

Qualifications:

  

1. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred. 

2. Previous experience working with individuals with Developmental Disabilities and Behavioral Health challenges. 

3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 

4. Ability to remain calm in challenging situations and implement crisis intervention techniques. 

5. Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of others. 

6. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
