Description:The Gund Company has an immediate opening at our­­­­­ St. Louis, MO manufacturing plant for a full-time second shift CNC Mill Machine Operator 1.

Shift: Second (2:00pm -10:30pm, Mon-Fri)

Starting Hourly Wage: $21-$23

Plant/Work Location: 2121 Walton Rd. St. Louis, MO 63114

Sign on Bonus: $2,000 Sign on bonus!

What are we looking for?

  • CNC operator in a manufacturing environment.
  • Passionate and reliable CNC operator.
  • This position reports to the production supervisor of Metals, Oil & Gas, Specialty market.

What specifically will you be doing?

  • Set up, adjust, and identify programming needs to operate controlled machines.
  • Work independently with programming instructions or operational data.
  • Load, operate, manufacture variety of parts using CNC machines to make custom parts.
  • Place/secure work pieces in proper machine table, holding device, or other appropriate surface using clamps and wrenches.
  • Operators may run more than one machine simultaneously.

What do we need from you?

  • One or more years of experience working with CNC mills, required.
  • Experience with turning and/or axis centers, CNC Lathes, CNC routers, G Code, Haas, UMC, SCM, Okuma lathe, Fanuc control, preferred.
  • Proficient math skills (fractions, decimals, add, subtract multiple, divide), required.
  • Prior experience in machining in a manufacturing environment, preferred.
  • Tech School Certificate, preferred.
  • Welding experience, preferred.

Work Environment

The work environment is typical of most shop environments, not climate controlled and subject to outdoor weather conditions. Team members are exposed to sounds and noise levels that are distracting.

  • Frequent exposure to fumes/dust particles; may require use of respirators or other types of PPE.
  • May come in contact with toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
