Summary:

As a Billing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the billing function of service department, establish billing processes, hiring, coaching and mentoring employee’s performance. Working with service leadership to establish price changes, markup changes and other billing policies that effect branches profitability.

What You'll Do:

  • Managing Billing Team:
    • Oversee billing departments to ensure accuracy and consistency with department protocol and compliance.
    • Establish and develop billing processes and workflows.
    • Develop reporting to identify the work performed on hourly basis to ensure the expectations are met.
    • Oversee the quality assurance group and draft error reporting to highlight the gaps and work closely with team training.
    • Conduct weekly meetings and regular one-on-one to review billing changes and focus items.
    • Oversee the accounts receivable & accounts payable group to ensure timely and accurate processing of third-party billing and TSP invoices.
    • Review timesheets and assist in the team hiring process.
    • Establish customer pricing and markup requirements for equipment and third-party services.
    • Provide personnel documentation and improvement plans as needed.
    • Conduct interviews and hiring procedures to ensure staffing levels are met.
  • Financial Reporting/Analysis:
    • Analyze the billing procedures and invoice processing for accuracy, completeness and forecasting.
    • Provide reporting on potential write-offs from collections group.
    • Analyze job costs to identify potential areas of improvement and expense regulation, or billing practices.
    • Partnering with finance to provide financial information and ensure budget guidelines are met.
    • Analyze contractor invoicing performance and provide reporting to Contractor Management to ensure compliance with billing procedures.
    • Manage cost regulation on TSP invoicing to manage both TSP labor and contractor-provided equipment pricing.
  • D365 Projects:
    • Developing Reporting in D365 – advanced finds, to provide work queue and team performance data.
    • Develop tools and charts in D365.
  • Customer Interaction:
    • Representing billing department on customer calls, handling escalations, partnering with NAMs to partner with billing concerns, assist with proposal for pricing changes.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree:
    • Accounting, Finance or related field
  • 4-5 Years of Billing Management Experience:
    • Knowledge of billing management and generally accepted accounting procedures.
  • 2-3 Years of Experience:
    • Accounts Receivable
  • Computer Literacy:
    • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Management Experience:
    • Handling team experience.
  • Communication & Interpersonal:
    • Provide feedback, work with team.
  • Financial Analysis Knowledge:
    • Knowledge of billing practices and profitability analysis.
  • Attention to Detail:
    • Review billing processes and team performance.
  • Multitasking:
    • Prioritize all workflow is completed in timely manner as well as delegation is key requirement to ensure important task are completed.
