Job Description:
ARC is seeking a skilled System Analyst/Data Modeler with exceptional SQL skills to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing systems, gathering requirements, and designing data models to support various business needs. This role requires a strong understanding of database management systems, data modeling techniques, and proficiency in SQL query optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze existing systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for new systems or enhancements to existing systems.
• Design, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models using industry-standard modeling tools.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and data models that align with organizational goals and objectives.
• Implement best practices for data modeling, database design, and data management to ensure scalability, performance, and data integrity.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from relational databases.
• Perform data profiling, analysis, and validation to ensure data quality and consistency across systems and platforms.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure that data models and database designs meet functional and performance requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and support to development teams during the implementation and testing phases of projects.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in data modeling, database design, and system analysis.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Proven experience as a System Analyst, Data Modeler, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) and data modeling techniques (e.g., ER modeling, dimensional modeling).
• Proficiency in SQL programming, including complex query writing, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Experience with data modeling tools such as ERwin, ER/Studio, or Power Designer.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and methodologies is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Certification in database administration or data modeling is desirable but not required.
