Job Summary


As a CNA/LPN at Logan River Academy, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the health and well-being of our residents. Your primary responsibilities include conducting accurate medication passes, maintaining meticulous organization of medical supplies, and promptly addressing the medical and first aid needs of our students. Your role is not just a job; it's an opportunity to positively impact lives and contribute to a caring community.


This is a part time role with core hours Monday through Friday between 5:00 pm and 10:00 pm. Weekend shifts are optional but NOT required.


Performance Expectations:

  1. Conduct accurate and timely medication passes, adhering to prescribed schedules.
  2. Organize and maintain medical supplies, ensuring availability and readiness for use.
  3. Evaluate the medical and first aid needs of students, promptly addressing any issues that arise.
  4. Collaborate with the nursing, clinical, and group living team during medical emergencies.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each student.
  6. Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, providing relevant information about student health.
  7. Implement infection control protocols to safeguard the health of residents and staff.
  8. Monitor and report changes in students' health conditions to the healthcare team.
  9. Foster a caring and compassionate environment for students in need of medical attention.
  10. Provide support during medical and psychiatric emergencies, following established protocols.
  11. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic care for students.
  12. Uphold confidentiality and privacy standards related to student health information.
  13. May participate in 1:1 observation when medical attention is needed in crisis situations or during hospital stays.
  14. Assist in ordering supplies and keeping inventory as needed.
  15. Maintain knowledge on all active student prescriptions and regular OTC drugs on-site.

  11. Demonstrates an understanding of the LRA Positive Behavior Plan.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Utah.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Experience working with adolescents preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
