Job Summary:
The Housekeeping Room Attendant is an essential member of our hospitality team, dedicated to providing guests with a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment. By maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and propriety, you will ensure guest satisfaction and uphold the reputation of our Hotel as a premier destination. This role involves detailed cleaning and preparation of guest rooms, ensuring each visitor's stay is pleasant and memorable.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Clean and prepare guest rooms according to Spark Hudson and Brand standards to ensure a high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
- Replenish guest rooms with amenities, supplies, and linens in accordance with company inventory and presentation standards.
- Conduct deep cleaning tasks and special projects (e.g., flipping mattresses, cleaning curtains, shampooing carpets) as needed or directed.
- Inspect rooms for repairs or fixtures that are not working properly; report any issues to the maintenance department for prompt repair.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of cart, linen closets, guest laundry areas, and housekeeping areas.
- Adhere to all safety and security policies and procedures, ensuring a safe environment for guests and staff.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing guest's needs and inquiries politely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure seamless service and a high-quality guest experience.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Knowledge: Familiarity with general cleaning principles, safe use of cleaning products, and operation of standard cleaning equipment.
- Skills and Abilities: Must possess physical strength and manual dexterity. Attention to detail, time management, and the ability to communicate effectively are crucial. Must maintain a neat and professional appearance.
- Education and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. At least six months of previous housekeeping or related experience is advantageous.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform medium work, exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently. The role requires well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including walking, standing, bending, lifting, and carrying.
