SBA Marketing Officer

The SBA Marketing Officer is responsible for generating new SBA 7(a) loans in an assigned market. The position will meet with customers to discuss financial needs and outline appropriate bank services to resolve any inquiries as necessary.

• Prospect, market, structure and originate new SBA 7a loan
• Contribute to overall profitability of the bank; assist in the implementation of income generation, and department marketing efforts
• Obtain complete financial packages from customers and prepare submission packages required for credit analysis
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of SBA loan products
• Proactively develop and/or leverage profitable connections with Centers of Influence (COIs), bankers that results in consistent funded credit referrals
• Develop strategies to originate SBA 7a loans in the marketplace
• Calls on and develops a referral network with commercial real estate brokers, business brokers, business/professional associations, accountants, lawyers, etc. to solicit SBA 7(a) opportunities
• Build the industry networking and customer pipeline for the Bank’s SBA lending

Experience and/or skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics or other related field
• 5+ years related experience in SBA lending
• Marketing skills for developing new SBA 7a loans
• Be organized, able to report leads/loans/call report
• Must have the ability to work independently
• Must have professional verbal and communication, and writing skills
• Must have professional presentation skills

Compensation/Benefits:

The base pay range for this position is $70,000-100,000 annually + SBA production incentive + benefits. Exact offer will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
