Salary: $45-50/hr, 5-6 days/week

JOB DESCRIPTION

Experienced, skilled SEASONAL BUTLERto assist existing team in providing care and cleaning of the familys Hamptons residence from approx. May 15th August 15th: Candidates should be energetic, friendly, respectful, and able to deliver consistent five-star service.

The Seasonal Butler duties may include:

• Manage organization of home according to Principals preferences
• Manage and assist with the purchase of food provisions
• Manage pantry inventories
• Manage and log all outgoing and incoming dry cleaning and laundry
• Manage care of fine china, silver, and crystal
• Oversee and assist with family packing and unpacking and wardrobe management
• Work with chef and perform server or Butler duties during mealtimes
• Oversee and participate in proper table settings and entertainment prep
• Coordinate floral arrangements
• Tend to guest needs and service
• Meet guests when they arrive and getting them settled in their rooms
• Anticipate family & guests needs by learning their preferences, allergies, dislikes, etc.
• Have a thorough understanding of all spirits and specialty foods in stock
• Assess and restock wine and spirit collections as necessary
• Serve meals and pour drinks for guests
• Communicate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are cleaned and refreshed
• Run errands when necessary
• Recommend and arrange amenities
• See family & guests off when they check out
• Remain well-groomed at all times
• Keep up-to-date on all safety and hygiene standards
• Perform all duties with discretion, professionalism and a pleasant demeanor

REQUIREMENTS

The Seasonal Butler needs to have experience cleaning 5-star environments, must demonstrate critical attention to detail, and have the ability to work as part of a team in an active household. This is a hands on position and requires a motivated individual with knowledge of the care of fine furniture and linens.

Previous Estate/Home and/or 5-star Hospitality experience

Polished, energetic professional, eager to grow and learn

Ability to work independently as well as with a team; hands on as necessary

Extremely detail oriented

Versatile professional with a high standard of integrity

Strong problem-solving skills

Must possess a positive attitude with excellent service skills

The ability to respond to changing circumstances, including guest counts and changes to calendar and events.

Valid Drivers License

Comfortable working in a home that includes children and pets

Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

Excellent command of the English language, both written and oral

Able to work legally in the United States
