Salary:

Summary: We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Commercial Apprentice Electricians to join our dynamic team. As a Commercial Apprentice Electrician, you will work under the guidance of experienced electricians to gain hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems within commercial buildings. This role offers an excellent opportunity to learn and develop essential skills in the electrical trade while contributing to the success of our projects.


Role & Responsibilities:

Assist in Electrical Installations: Collaborate with licensed electricians to install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings, including wiring, lighting, outlets, and switchgear.

Read and Interpret Blueprints: Learn to read and understand electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to ensure accurate installations and repairs.

Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), while adhering to industry standards and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.

Material Handling: Assist in the procurement, storage, and organization of electrical materials and equipment required for projects.

Testing and Troubleshooting: Learn to use testing equipment and techniques to identify electrical problems, diagnose issues, and perform necessary repairs or adjustments.

Maintain Tools and Equipment: Ensure that tools and equipment are properly maintained, clean, and in good working condition.

Collaboration: Collaborate with the team to complete projects efficiently and within deadlines, demonstrating effective communication skills.

Documentation: Accurately record work activities, materials used, and time spent on projects for reporting and billing purposes.

Continuous Learning: Actively participate in apprenticeship programs and attend relevant training sessions to enhance technical knowledge and skills.

 

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Enrolled in or completed an accredited apprenticeship program.

Basic understanding of electrical principles and concepts.

Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.

Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and work in physically demanding environments.

Willingness to learn and take directions from experienced electricians.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.


Preferred Skills:

Prior experience in construction or electrical work.

Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations.

Familiarity with electrical tools and equipment.

Basic math and measurement skills.

 

Work Environment:

This role will involve working indoors and outdoors, sometimes in adverse weather conditions. Commercial Apprentice Electricians may be required to work at various job sites and should be prepared to travel as needed.
