Accounting Clerk

Watson Civil Construction, Inc. is a heavy/highway contractor specializing in FDOT projects, large site infrastructure, underground, and road work with approximately 300 employees working throughout Florida. We are a dynamic rapidly growing company that is currently seeking a qualified candidate for our Accounting Clerk opening in the Jacksonville/St. Augustine, FL area.

Job Duties may include assisting our Accounting Department with:

• Accounts Payable
• Accounts Receivable Collections
• Payroll
• General Accounting (journal entries, bank reconciliations, data entry, etc.)
• Fixed asset and inventory tracking
• Completing Notices to Owner
• Other office administration duties as needed to support the accounting department

Desired qualifications:

• Construction accounting experience
• Excel skills with proficiency in the suite of Office 365 products; knowledge of construction industry ERP systems desired, Viewpoint Spectrum is preferred.
• Ability to be flexible, work independently, and complete duties and projects with little direct supervision
• Experience working for a Heavy Civil Contractor is desired
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external customers
