Position Overview

High Country Behavioral Health has integrated its behavioral health services with primary care to provide a team-based approach to deliver individuals with a better overall health outcome. We are in search of an experienced, ambitious healthcare professional looking for a challenging and rewarding full-time opportunity. Under the direction of the Health Services Administrator, the position is responsible for providing comprehensive healthcare services to individuals and families. This role will assess, diagnose, and treat patients across the lifespan, addressing both acute and chronic conditions. The position will collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement treatment plans, emphasizing health promotion, disease prevention, and patient education. Additionally, they may prescribe medications, order diagnostic tests, and make referrals to specialists when necessary, all while adhering to ethical and legal standards of practice. Position Education and Qualifications

Required

  • Master's or Doctorate degree
  • Current and unrestricted license in the state of practice.
  • Unrestricted DEA/Practitioner Controlled Substance Registration
  • Clean NPDB search
  • High degree of organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Successful completion of HCBH pre-employment screening and background check.
  • Has the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Has a valid driver’s license and eligible for HCBH insurance coverage(s).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.

Preferred

  • Psychiatric practice experience in medical environment
  • Addiction Medicine


Physical Requirements:

  • Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
  • Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
  • May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
  • Ability to occasionally exert or lift up to 50 pounds.
