This is a full-time, benefitted position. The hours are Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.

No weekends, holidays or call! Free on-site parking!

Who you are:

As Registered Nurse (RN) for Fairfax MRI Center at the INOVA Center for Personalized Health, you love the fast-paced environment as well as the complexity of the procedures that are performed at this world-class, cutting-edge MRI facility. You, along with your MRI Tech teammates always have the patient’s safety and experience at the top of mind as you guide them through the complexities of their exam.

What you’ll do:

  • Initiate IVs for patients undergoing MRI with contrast exams
  • Assess and monitor the patients for contrast reactions during MRI exams
    • Administer anxiolytic medications as required
    • Administer glucagon as required
  • Work with MRI Techs/Physicians to plan, implement and assess the patient both pre and post procedure
  • Assist with Breast Biopsies
  • Phone Triage
  • Provide education to patient and/or family members
  • Maintain par levels and order medical supplies

What you’ll bring:

  • 2+ years’ current acute care RN experience
    • Radiology RN experience highly preferred
  • Strong IV skills
  • Excellent clinical assessment skills
  • Strong computer skills
    • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Ability to work as part of a larger interdisciplinary team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
