Cedarhurst, a regional healthcare provider and true friend of older adults, seeks a service-minded, career-oriented individual to join our team as an Assistant Business Office Manager at our Cedar Creek of Seymour community.

As an Assistant Business Office Manager, you will impact the lives of our residents by

  • Perform management duties in the absence of the Business Office Manager and Executive Director.
  • Serve as principal telephone and office receptionist during business hours as applicable.
  • Assist in the full cycle of the hiring process
  • Assist in coordinating and as well as participate in all training for new and existing employees.
  • Maintain all employment records, including all pertinent onboarding documentation.
  • Perform conflict intervention and resolutions for residents, families, employees, and others as needed.
  • Perform necessary typing and copy work for correspondence, memos, notices, and reports, as necessary.
  • Ensure that the reception areas are cleaned and well maintained.
  • Assist with marketing functions, tours and participation in community activities.
  • Supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the Business Office Manager/Assistant Executive Director, as needed.
  • Respect for the principles of Resident Rights and confidentiality.
  • Overall assisting the BOM/AED with any assigned duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

To become an Assistant Business Office Manager, you will need –

  • High School diploma or equivalent required with 2-4 years of related experience
  • Leadership and organizational skills.
  • Experience with processing new hire information & payroll, basic human resources experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to meet all physical demands of the job which includes, but is not limited to seeing, speaking, touching, walking, standing, bending, reaching overhead, crouching/kneeling or crawling, as well as the ability to regularly lift/move up to 50lbs independently and up to 100lbs with assistance.
  • Self-motivated to accomplish identified goals with a strong sense of accountability for results.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as: Microsoft Office, Prism, Kronos, Yardi, electronic health records (EHR) systems.
