About Us

Here at Helperly, we believe that everyone deserves to feel independent, supported, happy, and healthy regardless of their circumstances. For that reason, we aim to make high quality intentional care easily accessible to everyone.

What does it mean to be a Helper?

Are you looking for a career that offers flexibility in your schedule? Or maybe where you get to work with interesting people or explore the healthcare field? How about one where you get to impact people’s lives? Enter.. A Helper.

Our Helpers are contract workers that provide companionship and other care to elderly individuals in their homes. By doing this, it not only provides a rich and rewarding experience for you, but it allows the individuals you serve to have greater independence, higher quality of life, and combat things such as loneliness, anxiety, and depression. Pretty cool, right?

So let’s talk about what your visits might look like. Depending on the client, some responsibilities might include:

  • Activities such as reading, playing games, looking at photos, or casual conversation
  • Assist with light cleaning
  • Offer assistance with basic needs like meal preparation or medication reminders
  • Transportation for errands or grocery shopping
  • Provide stable and consistent companionship on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis
  • Monitor the health and well-being of the individuals in your care and report any concerns or changes to the appropriate parties

Do you have what it takes to be a Helper?

  • Typically once assigned a client, you should plan on visits with them for at least 6 weeks, but this could be as light as an hour or two a week.
  • Strong, consistent, and reliable communication with clients and scheduling staff
  • Passionate about helping others have a high quality of life
  • Prompt and punctual
  • Strong interpersonal skills like active listening, empathy, conflict resolution, positivity, nonverbal communication, and patience
  • Experience working with elderly preferred, but not required

** Because our team members are providing care and sometimes transportation for elderly individuals, we require all candidates that receive and accept employment to complete a background check before being hired.
