POSITION TITLE: Automotive Assistant Service Manager
DEPARTMENT: Service
REPORTS TO: Service Director
PURPOSE:
The assistant service manager is responsible for the workflow and the profitability of the service department. Due to our astounding growth over the years, our Service Manager has been promoted to Service Director. We are now looking for a candidate to work along side of our Director and grow into this management role. This candidate will oversee front end service operations and must possess a hunger for growth and creative problem-solving abilities in addition to exceptional customer service skills. Dealership experience is required, preferably Ford, but will consider other brand experience. Ideal qualified candidate would start as Manager and paid accordingly.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Maintain highest possible standards of customer satisfaction; advice service employees of dealership CSI monthly basis
- Resolve 100% of customer complaints within 48 hours
- Maintain accurate records and ensure warranty parts retention as outlined in policy and procedures manual
- Communicate effectively with all customers in a manner that reflects positively on oneself, the dealership, and the product
- Responsible for profit of service department through sale of labor and parts. This is accomplished through the use of advertising programs as well as having personnel capable and motivated to satisfy customer needs and desires.
- Maintain a customer relations program that assures prompt repairs of high quality. Also provide a customer record and follow-up system, resolve customer complaints and build loyal clientele for the dealership
- Work with Service Director to establish and maintain practices designed to train, develop, and motivate department employees
- Use warranty claims processing procedure that permits prompt settlement, simplified tracking/control and recognized the interest of the dealership, customers and factory
- Establish and maintain good working relations with other departments to reduce conflict and maximize dealer profitability
- Prompt and fair adjustments on all customer complaints through the use of factory self-authorization programs for dealer goodwill adjustments

- Driving a highly efficient sales and production operation to quickly service Customers while ensuring a fix it right the first time, experience.

- Ensuring the Service area is customer-customer ready with proper displays and information.
- Managing the business in accordance with Jacky Jones and the Ford Motor Co. requirements and processes.
- Analyzing the business to determine opportunities and developing actions plans to improve performance.
- Driving the business though day to day involvement in the operations.
Job Requirements:
