Are you a seasoned accounting professional with a passion for driving financial excellence? Our client, a Hospitality Management leader, is seeking a talented and experienced Controller to join their Centralized Accounting team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in directing the company's accounting operations.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000/year plus Benefits

About the Role:

As Controller, you will oversee the company's accounting operations and ensure the accurate and timely dissemination of financial statements. You will play a critical role in maintaining an efficient system of accounting records and implementing comprehensive controls and budgets to mitigate risks. Your expertise will enhance the accuracy of financial reporting, ensure compliance with GAAP, and maximize the company's profitability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Financial Oversight: Direct the activities of the accounting team within the centralized processing office to ensure the accurate and timely production of financial statements and management reports.
  • Internal Controls: Analyze financial data to educate and advise hotel staff on the value of internal controls, promoting efficient operations, and providing recommendations for maximizing profitability.
  • Departmental Collaboration: Counsel department heads on interpreting financial data, recommending courses of action, and leading efforts to achieve expected labor standards.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare, review, and present monthly financials and annual forecast projections. Advise hotel management, corporate office, and owners on significant variances and their impact on operations.
  • Ownership Liaison: Attend and lead financial reviews on ownership calls, acting as a liaison between the hotel and ownership.
  • Budget and Forecasting: Lead the preparation of budgets and forecasts in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelors degree in a related field is required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of accounting experience with a multi-entity structure, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of GAAP, accounting regulations, laws, and guidelines.
  • M3 system knowledge is strongly preferred.
