Prepared Foods Counter Associate

DeRomo's Gourmet Market, located in The Promenade Shopping Center in Bonita Bay, is hiring a counter person to work in our Prepared Foods department. If you thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment - we want to hire you! We have both full-time and part-time positions available. These are year-round positions. Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure that customers receive excellent customer service
• Dish, weigh, and price prepared foods product as ordered
• Assist with product rotation
• Maintain the signs and tagging of the prepared foods case
• Set up the display cases and trays
• Keep track of product flow within case and communicate to manager/chef what is needed
• Maintain department sanitation; cleaning, cases, work area, utensils and emptying refuse.
• Follow safety and health regulations at all times which includes proper use of equipment, wearing gloves, hats, proper refrigeration and temperature, and sanitation
• Any additional functions as assigned by department manager or store manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Good customer courtesy and communication skills
• Knowledge of all prepared food items
• Able to handle cleaning and lifting

• Must be 18 years of age or older and flexible to work weekends
• Able to follow written and verbal assignments
• Displays high level of integrity and reliability
• Able to maintain company dress code standards
• Must be able to lift and carry 20 lbs. regularly and 100 1bs. occasionally
• Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
