About this job

The Charles and Virginia Hickman Hospital will give our community its first-ever wellness destination. Our families and friends will have improved access to nutrition education, exercise resources and state-of-the-art care like they never have before. We offer over 200,000 square feet and has 58 acute cate beds in our new state-of-the-art regional hospital.  Our campus also features an organic farm with access to nutrition, education and therapies.  We will serve as a community hub that touches residents of all ages and promotes a higher quality of life. This is a new model of collaboration between ProMedica and the community. We are excited to set a new standard for health and wellness in Lenawee County.

Position Summary: 

Provides technical patient care for patients according to established practice guidelines.  Performs clerical, reception, and communication duties. Keeps logs / data as needed.

Education: High school graduate or equivalent. EMT Specialist or 2nd year nursing student or CNA. 

Skills: Ability to read, write, and speak the English language. Must have excellent communication skills and telephone etiquette.  Ability to perform basic math and must have basic computer skills. Ability to deal effectively with a changing environment and be open to new ideas. Ability to function quickly in stressful situations. Must have medical terminology and the ability to operate diagnostic equipment.

Years of Experience: Minimal one year experience in oncology and cancer setting delivering patient care with EPIC Beacon application

License: none

Certification: BLS

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: One year of college education in the healthcare field.

Skills: IV/Phlebotomy skills, basic telemetry, ability to use safe patient handling equipment

Years of Experience: 2 years of experience in an oncology and cancer setting delivering patient care with EPIC Beacon application

License: NA
