Manager, IT/DTS Financial Operations - Full-time / Part-time

The Manager, IT/DTS(Digital Technology Services) Financial Operations is responsible for optimizing technology investments and resources through design, implementation and management of Technology Business Management (TBM) practices and methodologies across the Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) network. Will support an efficient and effective technology spend, promote transparency and alignment of business objectives throughout DTS. Is accountable to lead a team of financial analysts who evaluate product, service, project and other financial and investment needs related to the broader DTS portfolio. Reports to the Director, DTS Business Management Office.

 

The ideal candidate will have experience in IT Financial Management including data analysis, forecasting, and financial modeling. Experience with ITFM tools such as Apptio is a plus. The position is hybrid with approximately 20% of the time in the Edison, NJ office.

 

 

Responsibilties:

A day in the life of a Manager, IT/DTS(Digital Technology Services) Financial Operations at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

• Enable transformation through design, development and implementation of Technology Business Management(TBM) model, architecture and data across cost pools, towers, services and products.
• Develop and implement comprehensive TBM strategy aligned with the organization's goal and objectives.
• Establish governance processes and frameworks to ensure effective management of technology investments.
• Develop TBM data quality improvement plans based on material impact and complexity of change.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define TBM policies, standards and best practices.
• Partner with leadership at all levels of HMH to support major decisions on DTS operations and multi-year initiatives.
• Oversee the financial aspects of technology investments, including budgeting, forecasting and cost optimization.
• Develop and maintain financial models and analytics to track and analyze technology spending.
• Implement process and tools to provide transparency into technology costs and utilization by product, service line, etc.
• Work with network finance teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting including oversight of the monthly financial close process.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize cost efficiency and drive accountability in technology spend.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to DTS senior leadership for informed decision making.
• Monitor industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance TBM processes, methodologies and tools.
• Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration within the TBM team and across the organization.
• Other duties and/or projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Bachelor's in business administration, finance or other related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Technology Business Management (TBM), financial management or similar role, preferably within the healthcare industry.
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with TBM frameworks, methodologies and tools.
• Proficient in reporting and visualization development for Digital Technology Services (DTS) and business stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all. levels of the organization through oral, written and presentation forms.
• Strong project leadership skills and organizational skills.
• An entrepreneurial spirit.
• Must have a deep understanding of health care technology systems, financial management and business operations and a passion for process improvement and fostering relationships.
• Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

 

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• Master's degree in business administration or health care industry.
• Minimum of 5+ years of management experience.
• Familiarity with Technology Business Management (TBM) software solutions such as Apptio

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• ITIL Foundation Certification at hire or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Licenses and Certifications Preferred:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
• Technology Business Management (TBM) Council Certified Professional.
• Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Expert Certification.
