About this job

This is a full time (0.8 - 1.0 Status), day shift Cath Lab Tech position in the Heart and Vascular Cath Lab.

The RCIS/AART works as an integral part of the patient care and Cath Lab team providing support and assistance to a wide variety of patients and families. Assist in activities pertaining to the daily operations of the Cardiac Cath Lab and Heart Center. Scrubbing and monitoring diagnostic and interventional procedures, including but not limited to: right and left heart caths, PTCA, stenting, atherectomy, pacemakers, electrophysiology, and peripheral diagnostics and interventions. Will be cross trained throughout entire cardiology department.

Minimum Required: Graduate of accredited school of Invasive Cardiovascular Technology or graduate of an accredited School of Radiography or current certification/registry with Cardiovascular Credentialing International, or Montana State AART Licensure or eligible. BLS and ACLS required upon hire. Healthcare Provider BLS required within three (3) months of hire. Current experience in a cath lab scrubbing and monitoring cardiac and peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures, including but not limited to: right and left heart caths, PTCA, stenting, atherectomy, and electrophysiology. Experience with intra-aortic balloon pump insertion/timing. Cross training is required throughout entire cardiology department, which includes but not limited to: Pre and post cardiac procedure patient care, chest pain patients, and assistance with stress tests. Computer skills required for CVIS electronic reporting system. Advanced ECG rhythm interpretation and hemodynamic tracing, evaluation, and documentation. Thorough knowledge of coronary anatomy and identification. 

Preferred/Desired: ACLS preferred. Electrophysiology experience preferred.
