Cardiovascular Sonographer - Echo - FT Weekdays - Full-time / Part-time

Under the general guidance of the physicians/providers, the Cardiovascular Sonographer performs a variety of noninvasive vascular studies, echocardiography testing, and diagnostic ultrasonographic procedures.

• Demonstrates competency in IV access for bubble studies and in the need of Definity enhancing agent for the patient (echocardiology).
• Demonstrates ability to render a preliminary report to ordering physician per departmental policy and within the professional scope of practice (vascular).

Minimum Education
Accredited Program for Echo Cardiology or Vascular Sonography required.

Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Required Skills
Required Certifications:
ARDMS (within 24 months of hire) or CCI Certification (Registered Cardiac Sonographer).

Preferred Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS)

Minimum Work Experience
Preferred - Previous experience in performing Echo or Vascular sonography.
