District Sales Manager (Springfield, MO)
Sun Solar is looking for a dynamic Sales Manager to join the region's most successful company specializing in the renewables industry. Job Duties:
- Plan and execute sales activities for a team of 8-12 Energy Consultants, which support Sun Solar's established sales objectives and develop new opportunities.
- Plan and direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations for your team in developing personnel and achieving sales targets.
- Continuously monitor sales reports and operational records to ensure revenue and profitability goals are met; and provide sales forecasts.
- Interface with customers and evaluate market needs, make product and service recommendations, educate and counsel customers on company operating policies and procedures.
- Work closely with Sun Solar's Finance, Engineering and Operations Departments; and coordinate and ensure internal processes including accounting, record keeping, shipping, and customer service operations are optimized to respond to customer needs and support sales efforts.
- Represent Sun Solar at trade shows and meetings to promote Sun Solar products and services.
- Ensure that all proposals, contracts, and customer price agreements are processed in a timely manner.
- Ensure the company maintains a highly positive and satisfactory relationship with its customers throughout the sales and installation process, ensuring accurate quotes, anticipating needs, resolving concerns and complaints, and providing a high level of technical support.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in management of a sales team, 4 years of outside sales experience, or the combination equivalent.
- Bachelor's Degree in Sales or Business Management preferred
- Knowledge of the renewable energy market; experience a major plus
- Must be a strong, creative leader, and possess strategic planning skills
- Excellent communication skills and a confident personality
- Highly developed analytical skills and solid understanding of technical product background
- Availability to be on call to answer questions by your Sales Team outside of normal business hours.
- Must live or be willing to relocate to Springfield, MO
Compensation: Annual compensation including salary, commissions & bonuses can be $120k+
